So the mix (99.1 WMYX) was giving away tickets to see John Mayer at Summerfest this weekend. I heard about it when they first announced it on Friday morning and then I totally forgot about it until today. So I was listening to the radio for most of the day. I missed the first offer, but then I caught the second one at 2:45.

Now, as soon as I heard they were doing this I thought, ‘25th caller? I wont even have time to dial’. I programmed their number into my contacts list. It’s under 99WMYX, so it’s the first one. To call them I have to: hold back(to unlock), press down down, talk. I figured this was foolproof, there is no way somebody is dialing that number before me.

When I heard the announcement at 2:45 I had the phone to my ear before she was even done talking. What do I get? Busy! I tried two more times out of desperation but obviously couldn’t get through.

So I realized that I have wanted these tickets since I heard he was coming back to Summerfest this year and I started looking online. They only have seats in the bleachers left. They’re not bad, $33.50 apiece, but it really starts to add up after they add in all of the extra fees. For two tickets in the bleechers and a parking pass it is $134.00. I’d really like to go, but I guess it’s a little late to decide to go now. Plus I don’t know who I’d go with.

This is the one concert that I would like to go see though.
